Health Care Risk Management

Focused risk assessments and development of risk identification programs

Risk management is a process for the identification of risks that have adverse effects on the quality, safety and effectiveness of service delivery; the assessment and evaluation of those risks and the taking of positive action to eliminate, or reduce them. Organizations do not always what know their risks are and have had no objective review undertaken to outline them. By carrying out onganizational and focused risk reviews in a systematic way across the facilities and all specialties/departments, a baseline assessment of risk exposures can be established.
